Celebrating our 60th Anniversary

Welcome to KAS

The Khartoum American School continues to provide an excellent high quality education for all its students. For 60 years our qualified and experienced staff have developed a caring family tradition that challenges students academically and prepares them ethically and socially for a modern global world.

Our American curriculum is based on learning through inquiry. From nursery to grade 12 our students study in well-resourced facilities. Educating the whole child is important at KAS. Classroom and specialist teachers engage students in a wide range of academic subjects including the arts and physical education. We provide excellent help to students through our student support services program.

The KAS mission: “Khartoum American School provides an outstanding learning environment to promote an open, inclusive, and student centered program. We are devoted to fostering educational growth and development for our internationally diverse student body.” We embody our mission in all areas of our school. It guides us in making decisions and helps to keep us focused on what is most important for our children.

This year KAS will be preparing our self-study report to present for renewing our accreditation with the Middle States Association in the U.S. and the Council of International Schools in the U.K. These agencies review our report and hold us to a rigorous set of standards with a view to continually improving our school.

Our family community is a happy one and our children love coming to KAS. I hope you will have a chance to come visit us and see why KAS is a friendly, student-centered learning environment for the international community.

Sincerely,

Steve Alexander
